Where Have I Been?

Often at night I listen to talk radio. Usually I listen to sports talk. "If the Jets can ..." and "If the Cavaliers can..." and "If the Cubs can ...."

But sometimes I listen to a show called Coast to Coast AM. This show is about the paranormal and I am always fascinated to hear people calling in with these incredible stories.

Many people claim they have been abducted by aliens.

Of course the aliens have probed and prodded and done all sorts of tests -- but they never talk.

And the person has been allowed to return to his farm house in No Place, Ohio, so that he can warn the world of an upcoming alien invasion!

Often a special guest on the show will discuss ghosts. Such a person claims to have an advanced degree in physics or rocket science or some other incredible hard science. Yet he has stumbled across evidence that proves ghosts roam the earth.

These guests always have books you can buy (interesting coincidence) that show pictures of real live (huh? oh well...) spirits!

I am always fascinated by the people who spend their evenings walking around cemeteries with tape recorders so they can pick up the sounds of moaning ghosts. These people are very serious about what they do and they play back tapes of children or women crying for help.

Lots of people call in and talk about seeing shadow people in their houses at night.

I live alone with my dog, Bailey. I live in the country far from neighbors and surrounded by open land. Yet I have never seen a Big Foot, seen a flying saucer, heard the moans of spirits or even seen shadow people in my house. Where have I been?!?

That's fine with me. I will just stick with the Jetsons. They are my kind of people and I love their car!

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh too funny Russell! These people are 'dead' serious too. LOL

regarding my blog: We had snow once this year--well technically it was 2009--Nov I think--and it lasted maybe 3 days and that was it --no more. this has been the mildest January on record with temps averaging in the 50s. Last year we had a record amount of snow, yet nothing like what you have. No extreme low temps---and those same flowers bloom in the colder weather too. Nature is amazing. MB

Okay -- enquiring minds want to know -- where can I get one of those alien abduction lamps?

I have always wondered why aliens abduct people and stick needles into the nether regions of their bodies, but they never talk. Wouldn't you think the first thing they would want to do is ask questions? Like where can they get one of those alien abduction lamps? Wouldn't that be a great souvenir to take back to planet Zxpykloz?

I recently found out there is a company here in Boise that you can pay to get rid of ghosts in your home, or office. Who knew?

I couldn't listen to that show because then there would be no sleeping for me. I don't believe, per se, but I give the possible a wide berth, just in case.

In the words of C. S. Lewis, "What you see and what you hear depends a good deal on where you are standing; it also depends on what sort of person you are.”

So what, exactly, intrigues you so about ghosts and aliens and those who believe?

Pauline,

Thanks for your comments. To be most honest, often I listen to the show just because it is the only station I can get clearly some nights!

I would rather listen to St. Louis or Chicago or one of the normal talk shows. But often I can only get the Des Moines station that carries this silly show.

I am a bit fascinated that so many people take this sort of thing so seriously. I am not sure what it is about the paranormal that fascinates them but there must be something.

I do not believe in ghosts or aliens, etc. I do believe there is most likely life out in the universe but I do not believe aliens, flying saucers or that sort of thing.

Take care.

I always found it fascinating that Aliens would travel millions of light years just to stick something up an earthlings Butt...really...what is that all about?
