More Snow

Today it snowed. Again.

At least this snow was light. And it was not so cold. And there was no more ice. And the wind did not blow hard.

Bailey liked being out in it. He ran around and rolled around and played in it.

And when it got dark, the snow seemed transformed into something magical.

And even though the snowflakes continued to fall, they seemed less angry than what we had last week.

These piles of fresh, untouched snow will look different in a day or so. But for now we can enjoy this newly fallen snow.

Nature is quite incredible really, isn't it?

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, yes it truly is, Russell. I love that you took photos of the nighttime snow. I've really been on a lag with the photos lately and this was very inspiring to me!

Your snow photos are always so beautiful. And who could resist Bailey? :)

Love the night snow pictures! Very beautiful! Washington State (in my area near Seattle) skipped winter this year. I like being able to go to your blog and remember the fresh smell of snow! Oh I wanted to make a snowman sooo bad this year. I was going to make mine a pregnant snow mom like me!

Hi Russell, I was just reading back through your blog and I think this book might interest you. I am taking a course (elective) Psyc called "Why People Believe weird things"...really. The book is called "Pseudoscience and the Paranormal" by Terrence Hines. The book examines why it is that people actually believe these things.

Magical all right. The snow transforms the the norm into something else----and then it melts.

the night shots and snow flakes are really nice. MB

No more ice is a good thing. And nature IS incredible. But I hope Mother Nature will forgive me for all the bad words I said yesterday when my car got stuck in the snow on my driveway.

Love that first picture and the one of Bailey, of course.

Wow, I always dream about the day that I will meet snow truly. While this day doesn't come, I bear 35ÂșC on my head ...

I am glad you have a big truck to drive in all that white stuff with. My Dad said that snow was great for the earth and if you have a lot of snow you will have a great harvest next year.
