Stevie Nicks

A while back Lindsay Lohan recorded a song called Edge of Seventeen. I happened to see her do it on TV. I felt like I was watching a junior high talent show.

Just for the record, Stevie Nicks is the ONLY person who should EVER sing that song.

Stevie Nicks made this song famous before Ms. Lohan was born. I am sure she has many talents but I would suggest she leave this song to the professionals. There is only one and will only be one Stevie Nicks.

Stevie Nicks has one of the most distinctive voices in rock and roll. She is truly one of a kind. I saw her in concert one night and even though she was having a bad night she was still better than most anyone else I had ever seen.

If you have a few minutes, travel back to 1983 and listen to a live version of Edge of Seventeen. This is how it was done for real. And this was done on a stage -- not in a sound studio.

Teenie boopers can have their Lady Gagas and Lindsay Lohans. We had the real thing. And we were and are damn proud of it.

I wanted to be Stevie Nicks.

She was magic and mysterious and so cool. And I loved this song.

Thanks for the memories, my friend. Tell Bailey that George and I say hello.

You said it! There is only one performer for that song.

My husband and I had a mixed tape made by a college friend, for our wedding reception, full of our favorite songs. Stevie Nicks was on my list of favorites. Glad you have the memory of seeing her in concert.

AMEN!!!!

Boy you are so right and I'm not the only one who thinks that a lot of today's talent isn't. MB

Stevie is absolutely ONE of a kind!
She inspired my whole clothing/jewelry and accessory line, in my store since 1999!

So many people, still, to this day, love her style, her voice and her music...she is Timeless.

You're absolutely right!! Some music just doesn't NEED to be rerecorded.

These new "artists" who redo songs and try to sound like the original: WHY? Go write something new!

Joni Mitchell is another who, in my opinion, cannot be copied and shouldn't be redone!!

Just don't mess with Joni!!

Love Stevie Nicks - I think every girl back in the late seventies wanted to be just like her. When I'm in the car and Fleetwood Mac tunes come on my kids don't change the channell - Now that's classic music!
