Happy Valentine's Day

Red is my favourite colour.  Thus, it is no surprise that Valentine's Day is one of my favourite holidays.

It is a happy holiday and celebrates love.  I can't think of anything better to celebrate than that.  I like the fact that chocolate seems to be a big part of this holiday.

I have never met any chocolate I did not like.  In fact, my idea of a balanced meal is having a piece of chocolate in each hand!

When I was a child we would give each other little Valentine's Day cards that had silly things on them.

I remember everybody in our classroom would decorate a white sack and then people would put the Valentine's in them.  

As a big fan of the Jetson's I would have liked getting one like this (though the Jetsons were actually on TV after I was past elementary school). 

I am sure a lot of people will be eating at a table like this tonight or this weekend.

If you are celebrating Valentine's Day today with a special someone, have a wonderful time.  If you are celebrating the day in your own special way or by yourself, that is good, too.

For me, I just enjoy a happy holiday that focuses on red and to have an excuse to eat more chocolate!  Then again, I really never need any reason to enjoy chocolate.

Still .... St. Patrick's Day IS coming next month and I do love mint and chocolate.  Decisions, decisions, decsiions.  I guess I will just have to eat it all!
