Easter Lilies

At Easter I notice a lot of large white Easter lilies for sale. Those are nice but I prefer the smaller lilies.

This year I picked up these two lilies for my home.

These are called a star gazer lily - at least the white and pink one is.  I presume the yellow and red one is, too.  I did not ask.  I just liked it.

Then again, I like red a lot.

I am always amazed at what an incredible artist Mother Nature is.  Seems like she never gets enough credit but her work, but it is often beyond beautiful.

Another thing I like about lilies is their fragrance.  I do not know of any other flower that has a strong a fragrance as a lily.

The lily stands tall and majestic.  And as you can see, this particular lily is just beginning to bloom.

I will plant these outdoors before too long and will enjoy them for years to come.

I hope you had a nice Easter or Passover this week.  Here in the Midwest we had sun and almost warm temperatures.  I think spring is going to arrive after all.

It's a gorgeous day here on the west coast - almost reached 20 celcius by late afternoon! Hope you had a lovely Easter!

Beautiful lilies. I like them but didn't used to. Now that I am OLD my tastes have changed I suppose. NOT!!! But i do like them specially the Star Gazer--that is the white one. They can grow to be 8 feet tall with numerous blossoms. Beautiful. MB
